This Recovery Month carried a special meaning for Hope Academy. As we mark 20 years as Indiana’s only recovery high school, we were deeply honored to receive the 2025 Recovery Advocate of the Year Award from Mental Health America of Indiana and the Indiana Recovery Network.
For us, advocacy has always meant more than speaking up—it means building a place where young people in recovery can learn, grow, and imagine new possibilities for themselves. Every day, our students show that recovery and education can walk hand-in-hand. This award recognizes their courage as much as it does our mission.
But recognition like this is never ours alone. It belongs to the families who choose to trust Hope, the staff who meet students with care and consistency, and the community partners and donors who make this work possible. Your support ensures that students have access to a safe, sober, and challenging academic environment—something they can’t find anywhere else in Indiana.
