Hope Academy High School, Indiana’s recovery high school, is excited to announce the addition ofAdam Teal as its new Director of Outreach. In this key role, Teal will build strong connections with referral partners such as school administrators, probation officers, mental health professionals, and addiction treatment providers. His efforts will be focused on expanding access to Hope Academy’s unique programs, helping more students and families navigate the path to recovery.

Teal’s vision goes beyond simply building partnerships—he is committed to creating a sense of belonging and possibility for young people in recovery. His work will aim to break the stigma around substance use and ensure students and their families know that recovery is not only possible but can also be the foundation for a long-term success.

Teal joins Hope Academy after serving as Senior Program Manager at We Bloom, a nonprofit dedicated to empowering communities through access to essential resources. His experience at We Bloom has equipped him with a deep understanding of community-driven initiatives, which he plans to apply in his new role to foster partnerships that uplift students and provide them with the tools they need to succeed academically and personally.

Reflecting on his decision to join Hope Academy, Teal shared, “I’ve been truly inspired by the passion and dedication of everyone here. The students, in particular, remind me of my own high school journey and my desire to help others facing similar challenges. Being able to contribute to an organization that changes lives is an incredible opportunity.”

A native of central Indiana and a graduate of Shelbyville High School, Teal is currently pursuing a degree in social work at Indiana University Indianapolis. His personal and professional experiences uniquely position him to advocate for students at Hope Academy and in the larger community.

By expanding Hope Academy’s outreach efforts, Teal is committed to ensuring more young people have the opportunity to embrace recovery and thrive, no matter where they are on their journey.
