Hope Academy Welcomes Amber Jett as Director of Outreach

As Hope Academy High School celebrates 20 years of impact, we’re excited to welcome Amber Jett as our new Director of Outreach. In this key role, Jett will lead our efforts to expand awareness of Hope Academy’s mission—connecting with schools, treatment providers, and community partners to ensure more teens and families have access to this life-changing resource.

Jett joins the team with a deep personal connection to recovery, a strong background in nonprofit engagement, and a passion for helping young people thrive. Her arrival marks an exciting moment for Hope Academy as we look to the future with momentum, purpose, and a growing circle of support.

Hope Academy was just breaking ground when Jett was getting sober at Fairbanks—our high school’s early home. Knowing that Hope is still helping teens 20 years later, and continuing to grow and evolve, is what drew her to want to be part of the next chapter.

“This place has staying power,” Jett said. “Hope has been here doing the work—and doing it well—for two decades. That kind of longevity in recovery support is rare, and I wanted to be part of something that’s truly making a difference.”

As Director of Outreach, Jett’s mission is to expand awareness of Hope Academy and connect more teens and families to its life-changing resources. She describes her work as both strategic and personal—sharing the school’s unique advantage while building relationships with referral partners, families, and community leaders.

“My job is to educate people about who we are, what we offer, and why it matters,” Jett said. “There are so many students out there who haven’t found the right fit in a traditional school—and who need sober support to thrive. I want them to know that Hope exists.”

Jett brings a wealth of personal experience, nonprofit expertise, and heartfelt passion to her new role. As someone who got sober early in life, she understands the challenges and possibilities that come with recovery—and she’s eager to walk alongside families navigating that journey today.

“I was fortunate to get sober right after college, and I know it can be done—and that it’s worth it,” she shared. “Now, I get to use that experience to help others. That feels like a full-circle moment.”

With a warm sense of humor and an unwavering sense of purpose, Jett is already making her mark on the Hope Academy community. As the school heads into its 20th year, she’s ready to help write its next chapter—connecting more students to a place where recovery and education can go hand in hand.
